Let&#8217;s work together to send a message to Trump: Science and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">facts matter<\/span>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It gets a step worse for the <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Illinois%27_6th_Congressional_District_election,_2018\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2018 Illinois 6th Congressional District election<\/a>\u2019s Democrat primary candidate Sean Casten, at his campaign website. In his page currently titled &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.castenforcongress.com\/30-environmental-leaders-endorse\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">38 Environmental Leaders Endorse Sean Casten<\/a>,&#8221; he has this blurb <a href=\"http:\/\/gelbspanfiles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Gelb-Casten-endorse-site.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">about Gelbspan<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Ross Gelbspan<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Author of The Heat is On and Boiling Point<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Former Editor and Reporter at The Boston Globe<\/li>\n<li style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Co-recipient of a Pulitzer Prize<\/span> for public service reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Well, it is accurate that Gelbspan held those positions at the <em>Boston Globe<\/em>, and there is no doubt that he authored those two books. But it is also an irrefutable fact that both books don&#8217;t mince words about his &#8216;award.&#8217; The inside dust jacket sleeve for &#8220;The Heat is On&#8221; and the dust cover for &#8220;Boiling Point&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/gelbspanfiles.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/HiO-BP-pulitzer-covsleeve-1024x858.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clearly call him<\/a> a <strong>Pulitzer winner<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>But when anyone drops his name into a search at the Pulitzer organization&#8217;s own website, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pulitzer.org\/search\/Gelbspan\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">it confirms<\/a> that Gelbspan is neither a winner of the Pulitzer nor is he any kind of co-winner.<\/p>\n<p>The first question is, how long will it take the Casten campaign to erase that label for Gelbspan? Assuming that happens, it will become a fact that matters as well, won&#8217;t it?
